General-Purpose Consulting

(Because I Like to Help)

Overview: What This Is

This is about me doing my best to help you out, whatever it is you might need. Within reason, of course—I probably can’t save a failing business or broken marriage, though I can at least lend an ear.

It is my nature to want to help, and the diversity of my life experience helps me do that. I also love to solve problems.

The concept is simple: book a time and we’ll talk. You can email me ahead of time (davidrmunson@gmail.com) to bring me up to speed, or we can just dive in. It can be a one-off consultation, or you can follow up with further sessions as you wish. No sales pressure here. Book a meeting if and when you want. That’s it.

As I freelancer I do a lot of work from home, and my calendar is often pretty open. If I’m not already booked, that usually means I’m free. Upon clicking the booking link, you’ll see my full calendar and when I’m free.

What This Is Not

This is not therapy, as I am not a therapist. Nor am I a doctor or lawyer, so this isn’t medical or legal advice, either. Feel free to fill in any other disclaimers here that you feel appropriate.

Like anyone else, I’m just some guy. However, I do have a wide range of skills, experience, and expertise that mean I may have something of value to offer you.

Who Am I?

I’m David. Jack of all trades (but don’t give me that master of none crap). American by birth, now a long-term resident of Japan. I’ve done all sorts of things. Aside from what I do for money and fun (photography, teaching, writing) I like helping people and solving problems. My ADHD-driven brain craves novelty and loves to dive deep on entirely too many topics.

I like animals, especially my cat. Cooking is a daily passion. I walk so much my shoes end up shredded. Politically, I’m a leftist, but that probably isn’t going to factor into our conversations (and if it does, I’m not here to convince you of anything unless you want me to).

I’m an open book, for the most part.

Policies, etc (The Boring-But-Necessary)

  • If you want to schedule a longer session or a series of sessions with a single payment, just get in touch
  • No-shows are non-refundable. If you can’t make it, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance and I can either issue a refund or we can reschedule for another time.
  • If something happens and I can’t make the call, I can either refund or reschedule.
  • Topics of discussion are pretty much open to anything. HOWEVER, if a client becomes abusive, I reserve the right to terminate the call, no refund provided.
