For Sale
Because I have too much equipment and other stuff that isn't getting used
On this page, I’ll list things that I’ve decided to sell and will try to keep it updated properly. Some things may be out of date, but hopefully not.
Currently, shipping from Japan to the USA is difficult and expensive, as Japan Post has suspended service in response to the Trump administration’s tariffs. Shipping to the US isn’t impossible, just currently difficult and expensive.
If you see something you’re interested in or have questions, just send me an email at davidrmunson@gmail.com or use the contact form on this site. Or message me on social media. Anything works.
I’ve set prices on these items based on market value I’ve carefully researched. I believe these prices are fair, but if something is out of your range, let’s talk. We might be able to work something out. Barter is also possible.
Prices do not include shipping, and I’ve not set up ecommerce on this page because there are too many variables at play with shipping. Just get in touch and we can figure it out. If you’re in Japan, I’ll just ship chakubarai (pay postage on receipt) for the sake of simplicity.
All prices in Japanese Yen.
Unless otherwise stated, these are all working items, but for simplicity’s sake are sold as-is without warranty.
Photography Equipment
Hasselblad 500C/M With Waist-Level Finder
Currently inoperative after sitting in storage for too long, previously worked without issue except hanging a bit in cold weather. Sold as-is to be repaired. I suspect it just needs a CLA, no reason to suspect anything more serious than that. Pricing reflects its condition, and factoring in the cost of repair it should still be a good price for this classic camera. Asking ¥85,000
And yes, it is a bit dusty at the moment, but it will be cleaned before being shipped.
Hasselblad 80mm f/2.8 CF T* with lens hood
Comes with dedicated hood and both lens caps. Shutter is in great shape. A little internal dust, but otherwise the optics are very clean.
I’ll also include a couple of B60 to 67mm filter adapter rings so you can use conventional filters.
¥90,000
Artisan & Artist silk strap for Hasselblad
Made from beautiful Japanese silk in vermilion, this version of the strap with the built-in Hasselblad-compatible lugs appears to be out of production and hard to find. Absolutely beautiful, the color is wonderful and the feel in the hand is luxurious. Lightly used overall, condition should be apparent from the photos. Asking ¥18,000
Hasselblad Bubble Level
This is a handy bubble level that mounts on the accessory rail on the side of most Hasselblad cameras. ¥7,500
Hasselblad Quick Shoe
This is a quick release that mounts on any tripod with a standard thread and allows for quick mounting of the camera by clamping onto the built-in foot on the camera. Easily mounts to any tripod with either a 1/4″ or 3/8″ mounting screw. ¥8,500
Un-Jamming Tool for Hasselblad
A generic tool for manually cocking/un-jamming Hasselblad lenses and bodies. Not something you need every day, but it came in handy now and then for me. No brand to this one, but it’s well made and comes with a leatherette case. ¥2,000
Fotodiox Lens Adapter: Pentax 67 to Mamiya 645
Fotodiox Pentax 67 to Mamiya 645 lens adapter. Works great, lightly used. Runs $100-ish new, looking for ¥6,500 (US $42.50-ish) plus shipping.
Fotodiox Pro Lens Adapter: Hasselblad V to Mamiya 645
Fotodiox Hasselblad V to Mamiya 645 lens adapter. Works great, lightly used. Runs $100-ish new, looking for ¥6,000
Hasselblad 45º Prism
Good condition overall. A little shrinkage on the leatherette. Works perfectly, I just never use it. Fits Hasselblad 6×6 film cameras (V-series).
Price: ¥35,000
Hasselblad Bellows Lens Hood
Hasselblad compendium shade. Includes gel filter holder and B60 adapter. Good condition.
Price: ¥12,000
Hasselblad Scissors, Cut Film Back, Film Holders (Set)
Something rather uncommon. This is a cut film back for Hasselblad V-series cameras, along with a half-dozen film holders and special scissors for cutting roll film to fit the film holders.
The film holders also have a removable pressure plate, which means they can be used with glass plates, tintype plates, etc. This was what motivated me to get these in the first place, but never got around to doing it.
¥50,000 for everything
Can also sell the film back set and the scissors separately.
Argus C3 (I think) 35mm film camera
Funky but operational. The focus moves (stiff, but an easy fix), the rangefinder works, the shutter fires. Getting the back open/closed is a little tricky, but it works. An uncommon camera in Japan. Condition isn’t great, but it’s operational and would be fun to experiment with. Only selling it because I just don’t see myself making use of it any time soon. ¥3,500
Other Stuff
Pilot Custom 74 fountain pen, MS (music) nib
A great fountain pen with a very fun nib, just not one I use nearly enough to keep around. The double-slit music nib is wet and has a lot of character to it. The body has fine scratches from daily use, but nothing notable. The nib is in perfect shape. I’ll include a converter for bottled ink. ¥9,000
