About Your Instructor, David R Munson
I started my photography journey in the mid-90s as a bored high school freshman in the American Midwest, relying on library books and early online forums. It was fun, but often frustrating and progress was slow.
After high school, I studied photography at university and worked in the photo industry doing technical work, largely focusing on lighting. In 2009, I moved abroad and started teaching, all while continuing practice in photography, both fine-art and commercial.
Looking back, the greatest periods of growth have almost always come from learning with and from others who guided and supported me. Now, with 25+ years experience in photography and a decade in education, I’m dedicated to helping others build their skills and expand their creativity.
